Unicorn Ingredients Ltd are please to advise we have sponsored a young South African girl, Cornelia Kruger, to follow her dreams and take advantage of the Deanne McCrae Memorial Scholarship for 2016, awarded through The International Society of Rider Biomechanics in Lexington Kentucky.
The course has its foundations set in sport science.
Mrs. McCrae was one of the of the founding members of the Society, there in NSW Australia, and she was such a wonderful lady, so dearly loved by all the local riders and pupils, that her sudden passing, leaving a young family, was a shock to the horse riding world. The Society started the Scholarships immediately afterwards to honor her memory of giving to the sport we all love so much. This year $30,000 worth of Scholarships have been given in the categories of Police Mounted Units, Therapeutic Riding, Outstanding Juniors, Pony Club specialist coaches, and charity workers who donate their time to special interests such as hippo therapy. Plus, the two additional scholarships this year for International Candidates.
As a not for profit organization, we have to register how many applications we receive, and you should be very proud to be selected from the,1027 applications this year from some very highly qualified people in deserving countries around the world.
We now invite you to attend the International Symposium Co-hosted at the world’s most amazing venues that simply do not exist overseas. In Lexington, Kentucky, within 30 minutes from the host hotel, our venues that you will be visiting every day will be the world-famous University of Kentucky, Midway University and its vast equine facilities and international training program, Asbury University to see amazing training of Official Police Horses and the crazy antics they use – and for us as bio mechanists, more importantly – how they stay on! Then it’s onto the incredible Kentucky Horse Park, home of the 2010 World Equestrian Games, possibly the vastest equine facility in the world.
We will give further details of the course content once completed.
